Fly fishing using softbaits

Another soft bait session, this time using my old Browning 5/6  Travel Fly Rod.  In the spring
fish seem to be active on the Lull Water in Prospect Park.

I did try a few nymph patterns but the soft bait caught fish!

Am I bad for not using tradition flies to catch fish?  I don't think so.
