New rod, new reel and new fly line
I took my Thinkfish, Bold semi automatic fly reel to the Meer in Central Park for a try out. I matched it with a new 3 piece, 11 foot, 2/3 wt fly rod. on my second cast I hooked this bass. The reel worked well. It has a large arbor and retrieves line quickly.
The Meer in Central Park sits in the north east corner of the park at 11oth street. Its one of my favorite lakes in the city. Easy to reach by subway and has a variety of fish.

Great, beautiful photos that will make people want to fish and take photos in parks around New York City. But I guess this blog will always be number one.
ReplyDeleteHello,
ReplyDeleteI was wondering, what brand is your 11ft 2/3wt rod?
I purchased the rod from an e bay store.
