Last May I conducted a recon of this small pond in Suffolk county. I returned this time to actually try to
catch a few carp.
It took me a while to get started. I saw carp being active but all of the activity was on
the far side of the pond.
But as the sun began to set, I got my first hit. Each of these carp were less than 40 mm
long. This could become a carp hot spot in a few years.
