Most of the flies are not egg patterns. Many are made of deer hair and are designed to resemble things that float. A few of the flies slowly descend through the water column to attract a carp's interest. Some are designed to resemble minnows and or worms. Carp are omnivores. Presentation is key. if the presentation is wrong, carp will ignore your offering, if the fly is presented incorrectly. I have caught carp by swinging egg patterns through the water column.
Interesting fly selection, mostly egg-like flies. Have you ever experimented with any sort of scent to draw carp to the fly?
